The Big Snip Project
2,520 spay and neuter vouchers for pets and community cats across Orange County. One paw print at a time.
Spaying and neutering is one of the most impactful things we can do for animals and for our community. It prevents unplanned litters that too often end up in shelters, reduces the risk of certain cancers and serious health conditions, and helps pets live longer, healthier lives. For community cats living outdoors, spay and neuter is also the most humane and effective way to stabilize feral colonies and reduce suffering over time. For many families in Orange County, the cost of surgery is the only barrier between a pet and a healthier life. Our voucher program removes that barrier, connecting pet owners and community cat caretakers with free or low-cost services so they can do right by the animals in their care. Every day that barrier stays in place, animals die unnecessarily: in shelters, on the streets, and in homes that simply ran out of options. Every paw print on this wall represents exponential lives saved because someone in this community stepped up.
