The Big Snip Project
Leave a Paw Print. Save Lives.
Spaying and neutering is one of the most powerful things we can do for animals and for our community. It prevents unplanned litters that too often end up in shelters, reduces the risk of serious health conditions, and helps pets live longer, healthier lives. For community cats living outdoors, it’s also the most humane and effective way to stabilize feral colonies and reduce suffering over time.
Without access to these services, the alternative is heartbreaking. Animals are killed in shelters every day, not because they did anything wrong, but because there simply wasn’t enough room. Pets suffer from preventable conditions. Kittens are born into lives of hardship on the streets. Spay and neuter is how we stop that cycle before it starts.

For many families in Orange County, the cost of surgery is the only barrier between a pet and a healthier life. Our voucher program removes that barrier, connecting pet owners and community cat caretakers with free or low-cost services so they can do right by the animals in their care. Every day that barrier stays in place, animals die unnecessarily: in shelters, on the streets, and in homes that simply ran out of options. Every paw print on this wall represents exponential lives saved because someone in this community stepped up.
