Ways to Help

Planned Giving

Remember OC Animal Allies in your Will or Trust

OC Animal Allies appreciates and relies upon the generous contributions of its individual and corporate donors.  We encourage you to consider us when estate planning as this donation can positively influence the community and its animals in substantial, meaningful ways.

If you wish to leave a gift to the OC Animal Allies in a revocable trust or will, it is important that you provide your estate-planning attorney with the correct information to identify our organization. Proper identification in your testamentary document will ensure that your gift will be distributed to OC Animal Allies to help animals in need in Orange County, California. Since the OC Animal Allies is a 501(c)(3) organization, all gifts made to the OC Animal Allies through your trust or will qualify as a charitable deduction for your estate on your death.

It is also important to note that OC Animal Allies is not affiliated with any other SPCA or national organization.  We are a local group serving the residents of Orange County. There is no national SPCA, parent or sister chapter; each group is a separate entity.  Many people confuse local independent charities such as ourselves with nationally recognized groups that advertise on TV like the New York based ASPCA.  When you donate to the ASPCA the money generally stays in New York.  The animals in our local community need your support.  We encourage people to make their donations count by giving to an Orange County charity.

To ensure that your money is distributed to the OC Animal Allies, you should include the following information in your trust or will:

Legal Name: Orange County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, DBA OC Animal Allies

EIN: 33-0257357

Address: P.O. Box 6507, Huntington Beach, CA 92615

We suggest that you discuss other ways you can make gifts to OC Animal Allies with your estate planning attorney that may better benefit your tax and planning goals. You may also wish to designate OC Animal Allies as the charitable beneficiary of a charitable remainder trust, charitable lead trust, donor advised fund, irrevocable trust or gift annuity.

Please contact our office at (714) 964-4445 if you wish to speak with our estate planning counsel further about how you can benefit OC Animal Allies in your gift planning.
