As a former Santa Ana Police Officer, Bob saw too much real life human and animal cruelty. As a civilian, he wanted to address pet over-population and help stop some of the animal abuse he experienced during my career.
As a result, he served on the Orange County Animal Shelter Advisory Board for two years and have been with the OC Animal Allies (formerly OCSPCA) Board for over twenty years. During that time it has been his honor to serve both as Vice President and Chairman of the Finance Committee.
In addition, he headed the security/parking detail for our “Walk for the Animals” fundraiser and also volunteer annually at our booth during the Orange County Fair “Pet Expo.”
Our core message is that Orange County has too many unwanted dogs and cats; this is obvious when we see animal shelters completely full and hundreds of perfectly wonderful pets euthanized every month. Our solution is to sponsor adoptions and spay and neuter programs to address this pet over-population situation.
