PAWS Therapy Dogs Program

Facility – Monthly Visits

OC Animal Allies PAWS volunteers embrace new ways to help the Orange County Communities we proudly serve.  We welcome requests from new facilities, schools and organizations looking to bring the magic of pet therapy to their location. We are accepting applications for the Orange County area only.

We accept applications for review and if we are able to provide teams, will set up monthly visits to requesting facilities.  The interested facility must be located within Orange County in order to be considered for participation.

Some examples of our PAWS Therapy Dogs supported facilities:

  • Assisted living, senior care, memory care (Alzheimer’s and dementia)
  • Mental health
  • Addiction recovery, substance abuse
  • Domestic violence shelters
  • Children’s homes and foster care
  • After school children’s programs and services
  • Hospitals (children and adults)
  • Schools (classrooms, SDC and standard, all grades)

Please note that we are unable to provide visits to residential board and care facilities and are not able to provide private, one-on-one services to residents. Please contact PAWS 4 Healing for possible assistance.

  • OC Animal Allies PAWS FACILITY APPLICATION - MONTHLY VISITS

    Due to high demand for our program, we may not be able to fulfill all requests for services. Please submit an application to provide us with your information. Availability depends on a variety of factors including location, schedule and facility type. We are unable to visit residential board and care facilities and do not provide private, one on one services to residents. The program is run with our volunteer teams and due to our current monthly visits, could affect our consideration and approval of your request. Please allow up to 90 days for a response.
  • Please note, requests for visits outside of the Orange County area are not available for monthly visitations.
  • Please describe facility, type of services provided and number of rooms, beds or clients.
    Program visits typically are scheduled for once per month, for a period of 60 to 90 minutes maximum. Please indicate which days you would be able to make available for our teams.
    OC Animal Allies is a program based, non-profit animal welfare organization. While we do not charge fees for our pet-therapy clients, our organization is supported entirely by volunteers and the generosity of the public and corporate donations. Is your facility able to make in-kind or monetary contributions to support the organization and programs? (Note this is not a requirement for program consideration.)
